Welcome to the Family

Our first Welcome to the Family Event was held Saturday February 1, 2014 at the Norman King Center in Vallejo.  This Event is the second step in membership with ALWC following the Intro to ALWC class.  We celebrated our connection as one Family of God with food, fun, and fellowship. We took the time to answer questions and explore what it means to be part of the ALWC Family.  Welcome to the Family was attended by our newest members, family and friends.The day concluded with The Right Hand of Fellowship.  To see the picture gallery click here.

Many churchgoers are familiar with the term “the Right Hand of Fellowship,” but few are familiar with its meaning.  When we give someone the Right Hand of Fellowship, we agree with them in our joint partnership to serve God and fulfill the calling and mandate of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This was modeled in Galatians 2:9, when the Apostles gave the Right Hand of Fellowship to Paul and Barnabas, welcoming them as co-laborers in the Gospel.

The opportunity to serve, fellowship, love and laugh is a vital part of our ALWC mission.  If you missed this session our next Introduction to ALWC sessions are scheduled for February 23, March 23, and  April 27 @ 8:30AM.  Our next Welcome to the Family Event is scheduled for May, 2014.  For more information, check the ALWC Event Calendar.

2. ALWC “Couples Valentine Gathering Potluck”  Saturday February 15 @ 5pm signup at the Hospitality Table
3. ALWC “Men’s Network Gathering” Saturday morning February 22 @ 9am  140 Gina Court, Vallejo 94589.
4. “Intro to ALWC” Introduction to Membership Class Sunday Morning February 23, @8:30am (for those new to ALWC or new to Christ) Marriott Hotel 1000 Fairgrounds Drive, Register Sundays at ALWC Hospitality table.
5. ALWC Care Team/Benevolence Ministry “Canned Foods and Book” donations accepted Sunday’s at the Hospitality Table for those in need.  For more information & to see how you can help, signup at the Hospitality Table after service or call (707)712-4637.
