Welcome to the Family

Our first Welcome to the Family Event was held Saturday February 1, 2014 at the Norman King Center in Vallejo.  This Event is the second step in membership with ALWC following the Intro to ALWC class.  We celebrated our connection as one Family of God with food, fun, and fellowship. We took the time to answer questions and explore what it means to be part of the ALWC Family.  Welcome to the Family was attended by our newest members, family and friends.The day concluded with The Right Hand of Fellowship.  To see the picture gallery click here.

Many churchgoers are familiar with the term “the Right Hand of Fellowship,” but few are familiar with its meaning.  When we give someone the Right Hand of Fellowship, we agree with them in our joint partnership to serve God and fulfill the calling and mandate of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This was modeled in Galatians 2:9, when the Apostles gave the Right Hand of Fellowship to Paul and Barnabas, welcoming them as co-laborers in the Gospel.

The opportunity to serve, fellowship, love and laugh is a vital part of our ALWC mission.  If you missed this session our next Introduction to ALWC sessions are scheduled for February 23, March 23, and  April 27 @ 8:30AM.  Our next Welcome to the Family Event is scheduled for May, 2014.  For more information, check the ALWC Event Calendar.

ALWC Worship Arts Team, December 22, 2013.

The ALWC Sunday morning worship service on December 22, 2013 was a service to remember.  Our service featured the first performance of the ALWC Worship and Arts team.  The team lead by Courtney Collier, performed a song and a powerful skit on appreciating gifts from God.  The dramatic performance flowed in line with Pastor Derry’s message series Gifts from God.

Information, Connection, and Fellowship: that’s what Abundant Life Worship Center’s newest members experienced during our December “Introduction to ALWC” class. The December 8th class was our 2nd Session for 2013.

On Saturday, February 1, 2014,  we will host our “Welcome to the Family” Membership Event which is our Membership Activity Day. This will be a great opportunity for you and your family to learn about Abundant Life our Mission our purpose and how you fit in.  This will be  A fun filled day that you and your entire family will enjoy!
