The hindrance to the Ekklesia (church)receiving the abundant life is the carnal mind.  The carnal mind is enmity (hostile) towards the God Head (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) and the Word.  Because we are moving out of the carnal mind, we are not ready to walk in the principles of the Kingdom.  The foundational principle being the Blessing (Abundant Life in Christ).
