Message of the Cross: No Grasshoppers
No Grasshoppers
God made a promise to the Children of Israel that He would give them the promised land. After sending out the best and the brightest of Israel to spy out the land of promise, they returned with a mixed report. The land was all that God said, but they felt like grasshoppers in the sight of the giants in the land that they would have to conquer to obtain the land. How we see ourselves (identity in Christ) in the light of the cross, makes a difference in whether or not we can stand on the promises of God.
Series Overview
“The message of the cross is foolishness to those that are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God” 1 Corinthians 1:18
The purpose of this series is to teach rhema insights regarding Jesus, the Cross, and the Resurrection. When Jesus died on the cross and rose from the dead, He bought redemption for all who will receive it by faith in Him. The simplicity of the message seems like foolishness, and indeed is often misunderstood by many people. We are redeemed to a new identity, we possess an inheritance from God, and we are called to exercise dominion.
